High-Beam Rage: Driver Arrested After Playing Bumper Cars Over Bright Lights
When it comes to high-beam headlights, most of us squint and grumble. But for Frank Falcone, a 62-year-old Kentucky man, squinting wasn’t enough. He decided to take matters into his own hands—well, his car’s bumper, to be exact.
Police in San Mateo, California, arrested Falcone early Sunday morning after he repeatedly rammed a vehicle whose driver had the audacity to use their high beams. Falcone told officers the lights upset him due to their “brightness and potential radiation.” (Yes, he said radiation.) His solution? Slam his car into theirs.
Not satisfied after the first hit, Falcone backed up and rammed the car at least two more times for good measure. The victim managed to stop, but Falcone fled the scene. Belmont police later caught up with him after a short pursuit, where Falcone reportedly claimed he thought the officers might be impostors.
Falcone was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
