Falconer Fired After Spreading More Than Just His Wings Online
If you’re working for a professional sports club and handling their majestic eagle mascot, maybe keep your “personal” posts… well, personal. Italian falconer Juan Bernabe learned this the hard way when Lazio, the Serie A football club, fired him for sharing explicit images and videos of his prosthetic penis on social media.
After undergoing implant surgery, Bernabe decided to post the intimate content to his private accounts, claiming he wanted to “raise awareness” about the operation. His reasoning? Nudity is totally normal. “I grew up in an open-minded, naturist family,” he said in his defense.
While we can all appreciate the sentiment, Lazio didn’t share his enthusiasm, and Bernabe was swiftly relieved of his duties. Lesson learned: even if you’re “spreading your wings,” be mindful of your audience—especially when your employer is a high-profile sports team.
