Teen Arrested for Serial Underwear Theft in California
In Irvine, California, a 19-year-old man is behind bars after a string of bizarre burglaries targeting single women. Trung Thuan Tran was arrested for allegedly breaking into apartments and stealing cash, credit cards, small items—and women’s underwear.
Police say the teen had been committing these crimes since May, focusing on homes where single women lived.
Tran was finally caught when he attempted to make a purchase using one of the stolen credit cards.
Investigators now believe he may be responsible for even more break-ins in the area and are working to connect him to additional crimes.
