GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO) – A Grand Forks man is facing child pornography charges after investigators allegedly found 10 photos depicting child sex abuse.
In October 2023, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children informed the North Dakota BCI that child pornography was being uploaded to Kik, a messaging platform. The BCI learned the Kik account was linked to 59-year-old Danny Lane.
On June 25, Grand Forks Police investigators served a search warrant at Lane’s Grand Forks apartment. They seized a cell phone, and found 10 images depicting child sex abuse with girls ranging from infants to 10-year-olds.
Lane was charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography Thursday. He was booked into the Grand Forks County Correctional Center Friday morning.
