What’s the biggest hurdle for a back-to-school transition?
Sleep.
Experts say it’s time to plan for adjusting your child’s sleep schedule as school starts to get underway across the country.
Sleep disorder specialist Dr. Bruce Chen of the Cleveland Clinic recommends setting your youngster’s sleep an hour earlier each night until school starts.
Studies have shown that lack of sleep can affect concentration and school performance. Dr. Chen also says screens are a major distraction, not just because of the light emanating from them, but because there’s so much temptation to check what’s going on.
