Ex-Con Lands Back in Jail Over a ‘Honey Bun’ Dispute
Early Friday morning, a quarrel over a “Honey Bun” led to an arrest. According to Florida court records, 47-year-old Andre Eason, an ex-convict, allegedly struck his girlfriend in the face during the heated argument. The altercation took place in their car around 4 AM outside the Walmart Supercenter in St. Petersburg.
The argument turned physical when Eason reportedly “smacked the victim in the face, causing minor redness.” Although the arrest affidavit doesn’t detail the specifics of the dispute, it’s suggested that one of them might have eaten the “Honey Bun” before the other had a chance.
Eason was promptly arrested for domestic battery, a misdemeanor, and booked into the county jail. He was released later that day but ordered to stay away from his girlfriend of six months.
Their relationship began shortly after Eason’s release from state prison earlier this year. Eason, who is described as “self-employed” in court records, has a checkered past. His previous ventures included the sale of fentanyl and methamphetamine, which landed him in jail following an undercover operation. His criminal history also includes convictions for aggravated assault, theft, and disorderly intoxication. Notably, Eason sports tear drop tattoos below his right eye and a “bear claw” tattoo, though it probably doesn’t symbolize a pastry.
