MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO) – A Woodbury, Minnesota man has pleaded guilty to embezzling nearly $144,000 from his employer at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
Between September 2022 and October 2023, Timothy Hill Jr., 36, a manager at a fast-food restaurant, collected the company’s daily cash receipts and pocketed some or all of the cash instead of depositing it in the safe box. Hill tried to hide the thefts by using future cash receipts to create the false impression that the cash deposits were late rather than stolen.
He spent the stolen money on jewelry, online sports betting, and the adult website only fans. He also transferred thousands of dollars through cash app to several people, including several female colleagues, in exchange for lewd photos.
A sentencing hearing will be scheduled at a later time.
