(FARGO/WEST FARGO. (KFGO/KVRR) – Two crashes closed interstate exit ramps in the metro Wednesday night.
The first happened around 5:50 pm on the loop ramp from northbound I-29 to westbound I-94. North Dakota Highway Patrol says a 49-year-old Fargo man lost control of a Chevy Camaro and hit a guardrail. He was taken to Sanford with life-threatening injuries.
Exit 63 was closed on northbound I-29 for about 75 minutes after the crash.
The name of the driver will be released later today.
The second crash happened 25 minutes later, shortly after 6, on the on-ramp from Sheyenne Street to westbound I-94 in West Fargo.
Highway Patrol says 31-year-old Kole Lee of Dalton, Minnesota was driving a dump truck towing a trailer with an excavator on it.
He drove off the road on the on-ramp, came back onto the road, and tipped the trailer. The trailer separated from the truck.
No one was injured, but the crash caused the on-ramp to be closed for about 90 minutes for an investigation and clean-up.
Lee is not facing any charges. The investigation into the crash continues.
