MINNEAPOLIS – A Minneapolis gang member faces federal prison time for a shooting during an attempted carjacking near George Floyd Square.
30-year-old Traigh Tillman was convicted of possession of ammunition as a felon following a two-day trial.
Surveillance video shows Tillman armed with a gun as he approaches a car, opens the door and begins to wrestle with the driver. Prosecutors say Tillman can then be seen firing two shots, with the second one accidentally hitting his own leg.
They say Tillman is a member of the Minneapolis Bloods street gang. His sentencing hearing hasn’t been scheduled.
