MOORHEAD (KFGO) – The Moorhead Fire Department is investigating a fire in a second floor apartment at 1926 18th Avenue S.
Battalion Chief Matt Brand says no one was hurt, but tenants in the unit below the fire have been displaced.
The call came in around 3 a.m. Saturday.
“Crews arrived on scene and found smoke and flames coming from the second floor apartment. They pulled a fire hose up there and knocked the fire down. It took about 20 minutes for complete extinguishment,” Brand says.
Brand says they are working to determine the cause of the fire and who lives in the apartment.
The Red Cross is working to find the displaced residents a place to stay.
Brand says there is minimal smoke throughout the entire building and slight water damage.
