BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – A 21-year-old Bismarck man who was shot in the chest in a Bismarck apartment last month has died.
According to Bismarck Police Keanu Bird was shot after allegedly stabbing a 23-year-old man on Dec. 15. Officers responded to a report of people pounding on a door and screaming for help, and a separate report of a stabbing victim going to the hospital.
Officers found Bird at the apartment with a gunshot wound to the chest. Witnesses told officers Bird stabbed the 23-year-old in the stomach multiple times before the 23-year-old shot him.
Bird died at a hospital in Minnesota. The 23-year-old is expected to recover.
The incident remains under investigation.
