MOORHEAD (KFGO) – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a vehicle after a man reported that shots were fired at his car near 70th St and 28th Ave. N late Wed. night.
Sheriff Mark Empting says a caller to Red River Regional Dispatch reported that he confronted a woman who had broken into his car. After she got into another vehicle, two shots were fired as the man gave chase. The man was not hurt.
Deputies are looking for a maroon Chevrolet Suburban.
Empting is also asking that residents check security cameras to determine whether video would be helpful in the investigation.
As for the man following the suspect vehicle, Empting says that’s typically not a good idea. He recommends collecting as much information as possible and calling 911 instead.
