ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota business owners are being encouraged to look into a new state program that offers reimbursement for disability-related expenses.
The Reasonable Accommodation Fund helps employers who need help reducing barriers to employing the disabled. The program offers up to $15,000 for one-time expenses like wheelchair ramps or special equipment.
Reimbursements are also available for ongoing expenses like hiring an interpreter or providing a captioning service.
More information about the fund is available through the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
