We ALL get spammed with unwanted calls from telemarketers and political campaigns . . . but it’s NOT common to be swamped with calls from people who are hungry for BANH MI.
A new Vietnamese restaurant opened in the U.K. recently . . . and they tried to drum up business by passing out flyers.
The problem was: There was a pretty bad typo. The phone number was misprinted, so instead of calling the “Hanoi House” restaurant, you reached . . . Gary . . . some random guy, who just had a baby a few weeks ago.
It didn’t take long for Gary to figure out something was wrong. He says he was “flooded” with calls from people wanting pork meatballs, fried noodles, and prawn crackers. (???)
He figured out who the callers THOUGHT they were calling, and then let the restaurant know. They apologized . . . and corrected the number on the flyers.
