BECKER COUNTY, Minn. (KFGO) – The man wanted for a fatal shooting in Pine Point, Minnesota on the White Earth Reservation is jailed in southern California.
The Becker County Sheriff’s Office says Michael Croud of Ogema turned himself into the Los Angeles Police Department Tuesday and was arrested on a second-degree murder warrant. Croud is accused in the June 25 shooting death of 35-year-old David Hanks Junior of Park Rapids. Hanks was found dead inside a car and the suspect vehicle was spotted fleeing the scene. Croud is awaiting extradition to Minnesota.
Croud was on parole at the time of the shooting after he served time for a violent attack in Mahnomen County and a warrant had been issued for Croud’s arrest for violating parole.
