MOORHEAD (KFGO) – A boy is dead after a shooting in Moorhead’s Romkey Park area Friday evening.
According to Moorhead Police, an officer was flagged down around 6:10 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th Street S. and was told someone had been shot.
The officer found the boy near some trees. First responders from Moorhead PD, Moorhead Fire, and Sanford Ambulance tried to save the boy, but he died at the scene.
The person who shot the boy was identified and is being questioned.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the investigation.
