FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo Park District Commissioners have voted unanimously to accept the final recommendations for the Yunker Farm master improvement plan.
The plan is to revitalize the 55-acre park located at 1201 28th Avenue North in Fargo into a “destination” location.
The master plan will reorganize the existing park. Proposed amenities include a relocated and larger dog park on the north end of the park, a new location for the existing community garden plots, a winding trail, an outdoor classroom, a large plaza space for gatherings, and a skating rink.
The historic farmhouse that once housed the Children’s Museum will be preserved on the property.
The Park Board and park district staff will now start the planning and budgeting process for the projects and improvements.
