BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – North Dakota’s Department of Environmental Quality has issued an air quality advisory due to the smoky conditions being created across the state by Canadian wildfires.
The Department said residents, especially those with respiratory conditions like COPD, asthma, and allergies, should consider limiting prolonged outdoor activities while smoky conditions remain across the state. They said the elderly and young children should also limit outdoor time.
The ash and soot particles have been increasing in northwestern North Dakota.
The Department said the high particulate numbers coupled with a weather front moving in means the poor air conditions will push into and across the state Wednesday.
