MINNEAPOLIS – A Minneapolis elementary school staff member faces felony charges after a student discovered two loaded firearms in the school.
Officers responded to a call on April 23 at Loring Elementary School after a student found a bag with loaded guns inside.
Derrick Lind, 20, admitted to a fellow staff member that the bag was his and said he didn’t want to leave it in his car since it didn’t lock.
When the staff member asked Lind to leave due to the incident, Lind reportedly “became very upset and trashed the room” before leaving.
Lind is being held at Hennepin County Jail.
