ST. PAUL – Governor Tim Walz is at Paisley Park Tuesday to sign a bill naming a seven-mile stretch of State Highway 5 in Chanhassen as the “Prince Rogers Nelson Memorial Highway.”
Mark Webster, a close friend of the musical icon, said after the Senate passed the bill last week, ” “Prince never asked nobody for anything. I think this is one of the greatest gifts we can give him — the City of Chanhassen, the state of Minnesota, and the world. He deserves every bit of this.”
MnDOT made an exception allowing purple memorial signs in Prince’s honor.
