ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota State Sen. Torrey Westrom, of Alexandria, said he’s feeling well and it’s great to be back as he returned to the Capitol Tuesday after a snowmobile accident just under a month ago.
Westrom thanked emergency responders and medical personnel.
“I just want to express gratitude and heartfelt thanks for all the well-wishes, all those that have reached out by text, phone calls, e-mails,” Westrom said.
Westrom, who is blind, was a passenger on a snowmobile driven by a 13-year-old boy when they hit a packed snowdrift. He was thrown about 200 feet and suffered three broken ribs.
