ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – A St. Paul man has been charged with robbing a bank in St. Paul, telling employees to “have a nice day and stay warm” as he left. The Ramsey County Attorney’s office has charged 42-year-old Andre Nelson.
Police were called to a Huntington Bank branch on Tuesday morning. Tellers told police that a man came in wearing a mask, holding a grocery store bag and a handgun, according to the criminal complaint.
They told investigators that the robber approached three tellers, pointed the gun and had them put the money in the bag. Some of the money had a tracker and Nelson was arrested not far from the bank. He was identified by his library card.
