FARGO (KFGO) – Assistant Cass County State’s Attorney Ryan Younggren says the man who suffered serious injuries after crashing into the Fargo walkover bridge last week was wanted for a felony crime of luring a minor.
The crash happened just hours after a warrant was signed for the arrest of 51-year-old Robby Njos of Moorhead.
Younggren says Njos is accused of a Class C felony – luring a minor by electronic means.
According to the Highway Patrol, Njos was eastbound near mile marker 351, just west of University Drive on I-94, around 6:30 p.m. Friday when his pickup left the interstate, went into the south ditch, and hit both concrete pillars that support the walkover bridge.
He was taken to Sanford Hospital by ambulance. Fargo Police, Fargo Fire, and FM Ambulance assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
