GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Following a four-point weekend against Omaha to open NCHC play, North Dakota slipped to No. 12 in the DCU/USCHO Poll and No. 13 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Poll heading into a showdown with No. 2 Denver this weekend.
Last weekend, UND (4-3-2) rolled to a 4-1 win over Omaha on Friday night in the league opener, but had to settle for a 3-3 tie on Saturday night to finish the weekend with four points. Riese Gaber led the way with a trio of goals to extend his point streak to seven straight games while Tyler Kleven and Judd Caulfield both picked up their first tallies of the season.
North Dakota will host No. 2 Denver this weekend from Ralph Engelstad Arena on Friday at 7:07 p.m. and Saturday at 6:07 p.m. Both contests on AM 790 FM 104.7|94.1 KFGO
