Grand Forks, N.D. – North Dakota will host South Dakota on Saturday. Kickoff between the Fighting Hawks and Coyotes is slated for Noon inside the Alerus Center. The game will be carried by KFGO AM 790 FM 94.1|104.7 and the Home of Economy Radio Network with the pregame show starting at 11 a.m.
UND enters the contest with a 6-3 overall record and a 4-2 standing in MVFC play. Last week, North Dakota upended Indiana State, 42-7. The game was knotted up at 7-7 early in the second quarter before a pair of Sycamore turnovers led to Fighting Hawk touchdowns to put UND up by two scores (21-7) at the break. North Dakota finished the game scoring 35 unanswered points.
USD comes into Saturday with a 3-6 record and 2-4 standing in the MVFC. Last week, the Coyotes defeated the Bears of Missouri State in Vermillion, 20-13. South Dakota quarterback Aidan Bouman passed for 235 yards and two touchdowns while the USD defense held MSU to a season-low 13 points.
This will be the 99th meeting between North Dakota and South Dakota. UND holds a 62-31-5 lead in the series. In games played in Grand Forks, NoDak is 37-10-2. UND has won the last 14 games played between the two squads in Grand Forks.
