WARREN, Minn. (KFGO) – A lawyer in Warren northeast of Grand Forks has been arrested for assaulting his ex-wife. 31-year-old Anders Odegaard is in the Marshall County Jail.
Police and sheriff’s deputies responded to Odegaard’s home in Warren after a report of a domestic argument. When they arrived they found 31-year-old Carissa Odegaard of Grand Forks unresponsive. She was airlifted to Sanford Health in Fargo but her grandfather posted on social media late Wednesday that she had passed away.
Authorities said several children witnessed the attack but fled and were not injured. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension’s mobile crime lab from Bemidji was sent to the home to assist with the investigation and evidence collection.
Formal charges are pending.
