WILLISTON, N.D. (KFGO) – A pickup was traveling west on 58th St. in Williston when the passenger was seriously injured after she fell from the truck.
The passenger, 26-year-old Aprille Poitra, Williston, suffered serious life-threatening injuries when the truck door and she fell from the vehicle.
The driver of the pickup Logan McVey, 24, of Williston, was near the intersection of 58th St W and 15th Ave W within Williston city limits. McVey applied the brakes when the door opened, and the pickup struck the female with the rear passenger side tire.
The female was taken by ambulance to CHI St. Alexius Health – Williston. The female was then airlifted to Trinity Health in Minot.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
