FARGO (KFGO) – Former Fargo City Commissioner Tony Grindberg is running for Cass County Commission. Grindberg, also a former state senator, will run for the District-2 commission seat now held by Commissioner Rick Steen, who is not running for another term.
“The county commission by its very nature is a legislative body. My legislative and city public service along with my longstanding community involvement will provide Cass County with solid experience to move Cass County forward during the next four years” he said.
Grindberg said his priorities include support for economic and workforce growth strategies to grow Cass County, investing in public safety protection, and collaboration with state government and the legislature.
Grindberg, now the principal manager for Xcel Energy in North Dakota, who served one term on the city commission, was a long-time administrator at the North Dakota State College of Science-Fargo campus.
