ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Lions have signed free agent linebacker Chris Board.
Detroit announced the move Wednesday, adding depth at a position of need. Board went undrafted in 2018 and spent his first four NFL seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
The North Dakota State product has carved out a solid reputation in league circles. He’s missed just two games in his career, and last year he tallied 41 tackles and two quarterback hits.
Board is widely regarded as one of the top special teams players in the game and is expected to contribute heavily for the Lions in that area.
