SANDSTONE, Minn. (KFGO) – An African serval cat found injured in a Boston suburb last week has made it safely all the way to its new home at The Wildcat Sanctuary in Minnesota.
The male cat dubbed “Bruno,” was found in a backyard in Lincoln, Massachusetts, starving and suffering from a back leg broken in two places.
Wildcat Sanctuary staff left on January, 14th driving nearly 3,000 miles roundtrip, to get Bruno back to Minnesota before a severe winter storm hit New England and the Mid-Atlantic states. The Sanctuary says Bruno arrived safely back at the Sanctuary on Monday, which was “fitting for Betty White’s 100th Birthday – a true animal lover.”
Due to the severity of the breaks in Bruno’s leg, it was decided that his leg would be amputated. The Wildcat Sanctuary says he’s recuperating well from that surgery.
