FARGO, ND (KFGO) – The Fargo Park District and Audubon Dakota are hosting a bird-watching event in South Fargo next weekend.
The Winter Birding Festival is scheduled from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 22nd at Forest River Park. The park is designated as an Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society and Birdlife International, joining a global network of the most important sites for birds.
The festival is free to the community. You’ll be learning about birding from experts, see several species of woodpeckers, owls, and more rare winter birds. Free hot cocoa will be provided, but they ask you to bring your own binoculars.
This event is an official part of Frostival, a community-wide celebration of how the Fargo-Moorhead Community makes cold cool. For more information, visit FargoParks.com.
