The results are in: and my favorite hard liquor is making a comeback this holiday season.
Drizly, an alcohol delivery platform used in the U.S. and Canada, collected data from over 500 beverage retailers to find out the trends on what people are drinking for the holidays.
The main points we can take away from this data report is that: Champagne is currently going through a supply shortage; craft beer is on the rise; and tequila better be stocked in liquor stores, as that’s currently the number one choice for hard liquor during this holiday season.
The most exciting tidbit out of Drizly’s study: TEQUILA IS GOING TO OUTSELL VODKA THIS YEAR. As a self-proclaimed tequila queen, I’m ecstatic that all of my Patron-hating friends can SUCK IT. 😜 Nothing is better than a chilled 3 oz of silver Patron with a bit of salt and a fresh lime to bite into. Plus, margaritas are the ELITE blended beverage. I’m not budging on it.
Not only that, craft beer is going to start taking up shelf space previously occupied by hard seltzers. Move over, White Claws – IPA’s are finally getting a little more attention. People are also choosing to opt for locally made products, as well as organic and natural beverages. Why not feel good about what you’re drinking, right?
What’s on your shopping list for the holiday season? You KNOW I’m picking up tequila and white wine for all of my celebrations.
XOXO, Alyssa
