GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Following four straight at home, No. 7 North Dakota hits the road and gets back into conference play with a weekend showdown against No. 5/6 St. Cloud State from the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud, Minn.
All UND men’s hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio, FightingHawks and Varsity Network apps. The flagship station for the network is 96.1 FM (The Fox). Longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy calls the action.
This weekend’s contests are carried live on Midco Sports and FOX 9+ in the St. Cloud area. Fans can also watch both games on NCHC.tv with a subscription.
Friday will be the 138th all-time meeting between North Dakota and St. Cloud State, with UND holding a 77-45-15 advantage in the series.
The teams met three times last season, splitting two games down in the NCHC pod in Omaha before UND captured the NCHC Frozen Faceoff title with a 5-3 in Grand Forks.
The two squads haven’t played in St. Cloud since Feb. 21-22, 2020, with that series marking the first since Dec. 2017 at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.
