FARGO (KFGO) – An employee of a Fargo memory care unit has been arrested for assaulting a resident earlier this month, who has now died.
59-year-old Rachel Cooper was arrested Wednesday night at her Fargo home. She was arrested on a charge of endangering a vulnerable adult.
Police took a report of an assault on a resident of Maple View Memory Care at 4552 36th Ave. S on August 3 and were notified Thursday morning that the resident, a 78-year-old man, died.
An autopsy will be done to determine whether the assault caused the death. The Cass County State’s Attorney’s office will review the case for charges once the autopsy results are known.
