ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (KFGO) – An Alexandria man was injured when his legs were pinned beneath a tractor that rolled on him.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says a passing truck driver spotted the rolled tractor about 8:30 p.m Wednesday, several hundred yards off the roadway west of Alexandria, and called for help.
Gary Anderson, 64, was freed by a state trooper using a floor jack to lift the tractor. He had been pinned for 30 minutes before being found.
Anderson was taken to the Alexandria hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. He had been mowing grass and weeds on his property when the tractor’s back wheel hit a dirt mound, causing the tractor to tip.
