VERMILLION, S.D. – Hannan Sjerven scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in South Dakota’s 81-61 in Summit League basketball on Sunday.
USD scored 22 points off 21 NDSU turnovers and closed out the regular season on a 6-game winning streak.
Heaven Hamling paced the Bison with 19 points and shot 5-for-8 from the three-point line.
NDSU enters the Summit League Tournament on a 4-game losing streak as the No. 3 seed. The Bison will play No. 6 Denver in the quarterfinals on Sunday, March 7 from the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The Coyotes open the tournament as the No. 2 seed and will square off with No. 7 seed Oral Roberts on Saturday, March 6.
