The past few years have been filled with many Hollywood celebrities pushing body positivity. Celebrities like, Lizzo. Lizzo puts out video messages to her fans all the time saying how much she loves herself and even though it takes a lot of work it’s what she tries to do every single day. Artists like Lizzo make it their mission to promote positive body image to young girls and women around the world. Young women these days are growing up with a significant amount of companies like Dove and American Eagle constantly promoting loving your body for what it is. This however has not been the case in previous years and recently a video resurfaced of Oprah interviewing the Olsen twins and bringing up their weight.
The interview which took place in 2004 has Oprah asking the Olsen twins what dress size they are and pushing questions involving Mary Kate Olsens recent rumors of an eating disorder. At the time of the interview Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen were just 17 years old. The interview is uncomfortable to watch as Oprah pushes for answers that it is very clear both girls do not want to answer.

Later on that year after the Oprah interview aired Mary Kate Olsen checked herself into a rehab center to seek treatment for a food-related health disorder.
Oprah has yet to comment on the resurfaced interview but many are asking for a public apology.
