FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – As a precaution following the violence at the Capitol in Washington, the Fargo Police Department is actively monitoring for credible threats and suspicious behavior.
Mayor Tim Mahoney and Police Chief David Zibolski have been in contact “to ensure readiness.” The chief has also been communicating with the FBI “in a proactive measure to ensure local law enforcement has been provided with critical information from federal authorities.”
The Fargo Police Department said they respect every person’s right to peacefully assemble and protest but they are prepared and ready to keep the public safe.
