BECKER COUNTY, MINN. – A machine shop north of Detroit Lakes was destroyed by fire. The fire was reported late Tuesday night, and firefighters from a number of Becker County departments remained on scene through yesterday morning. The building was in the process of being remodeling for meat processing. Detroit Lakes Assistant Fire Chief Ryan Swanson says the owners believe the fire started from a wood stove.
