CASSELTON, N.D. (KFGO) – A house at 412 Langer Ave. in Casselton is a complete loss following a fire shortly after 6:00 a.m. Monday morning. Casselton Fire Chief, Tim McLean, tells KFGO News that the house was completely engulfed in flames when crews arrived and the roof is now gone.
McLean says his crew had the flames knocked down 20 minutes after arriving. “There were no injuries,” McLean said, “The house was vacant at the time. The homeowner moved out quite a while ago.”
Crews were able to keep the flames isolated to the single house with no structural damage to the neighboring homes. However, McLean says the house to the south could have some smoke damage. A deputy fire marshal from Grand Forks is working to determine a cause of the blaze.
