The final five on The Voice took the stage twice on Monday night. Each artist performed a song selected by his or her coach, as well as a song dedicated to his or her hometown.

Throughout the night, Adam Levine , Blake Shelton , Shakira and Usher critiqued the contestants. In addition, Blake continued to take jabs at Adam's blond hairdo.

However, Adam had a laugh at Blake's expense, when he arranged for manure to be dumped onto his pal's truck. This was in retribution for Blake tweeting Adam's cellphone number a couple of weeks ago.

The broadcast opened with Usher performing his new single, "Good Kisser." Here's what followed:

Team Shakira member Kristen Merlin dedicated the Miranda Lambert song "Gunpowder & Lead" to her supporters in her hometown of Hanson, Massachusetts. Adam said she's grown as an artist throughout the competition. Blake jokingly called Adam "Barney Rubble" -- yet another reference to the Maroon 5 frontman's blond hair -- then noted that Kristen took a different approach to the song than Miranda, his wife, does. Shakira urged America to vote for Kristen because she's unique and she represents the people to whom no one gives a chance.

Josh Kaufman of Team Usher sang John Legend 's "All of Me" in honor of his wife and kids. Adam, who coached Josh earlier in the season, credited Usher for his work with the artist. Blake declared that Josh deserves a spot in the finals. Usher praised Adam for recognizing Josh's talent early on.

Kat Perkins , who benefited from the "instant save" the past two weeks, was assigned Sia 's "Chandelier" by her coach, Adam. To emphasize the title of the song, she was surrounded by chandeliers on the stage. Blake poked more fun at Adam and his hair, calling him " Sharon Stone ." He also said that Kat showed another layer of herself. Shakira said it was smart that Kat didn't try to copy Sia's vocals. Adam believed that Kat should be in the finals.

Team Blake's Jake Worthington sent out Waylon Jennings ' "Good Ol' Boys" to his best friends back home in Texas. The song was the theme to the TV series Dukes of Hazzard . Usher called Jake a great representation of the country genre. Blake agreed, saying Jake needs to be on country radio.

The second of Adam's remaining artists, Christina Grimmie , was given "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap . Usher said he was a bit disengaged in the beginning, but Christina improved as the song went on. Adam suggested that he and Christina were trying to deliver something different.

Kat dedicated the Frozen hit "Let It Go" to the kids for whom she's a nanny in Minneapolis. Usher commented that it's a difficult song to perform, but she nailed it. Shakira said the song allowed Kat to show off a new side. Adam claimed no contestant has been more consistent from week to week than Kat.

For his second performance, Josh was instructed by Usher to take on OneRepublic 's "Love Runs Out." Blake praised Josh for his control and command, comparing him to "Addicted to Love" singer Robert Palmer . Usher said his artist left it all out on the stage.

Kristen returned with Shakira's pick for her, the Jewel single "Foolish Games." Blake said it was the most connected he's seen Kristen be with a lyric. Usher remarked that she rose to the occasion despite the pressure. Shakira said Kristen wonderfully narrated the story she was telling.

Christina saluted her friends in New Jersey by covering "Some Nights" by fun. Balloons fell during the performance, prompting Blake to quip, "I think you just won The Voice !" Shakira said it showed how creative Christina is. Adam says Christina always blows him away.

Jake closed out the show with Blake's choice, Bryan Adams ' "Heaven." Shakira said it was different from Jake's usual country leanings. Blake said he is so proud of Jake, and would be happy to share the stage with him for the rest of his life.

The Voice will narrow down the field on Tuesday night's results show, airing on NBC at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
