Demi Lovato made her sixth appearance Friday on Good Morning America 's Summer Concert Series, performing her hits "Really Don't Care," "Neon Lights" and "Heart Attack."

The day before her performance, the singer appeared at the Jed Foundation Annual Gala in New York City, helping honor those who raise awareness and minimize prejudice for people diagnosed with mental illness.    Demi, who's been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, said it's something that comes naturally for her.

"It's easy for me because I'm just being honest," Demi said. "I've dealt with a lot with mental illnesses and I know so many people with mental illnesses that it's so important that we raise the awareness and start to incorporate it in schools and really start to make a difference."

Demi also said she's looking forward to having a great 2014, including the launch of her 25-city North American tour on September 6.  "I've worked really really hard this year and so the hard work is starting to pay off and I'm really happy about that," she said.

Tickets for Demi: The World Tour are on sale to the general public today via LiveNation.com.
