GRAND FORKS, ND. (KFGO AM) -- Despite not having any mega concerts yet this year, the Alerus Center in Grand Forks is quietly turning a profit.
First quarter numbers show the events center is in the black to the tune of some $353-thousand.
Alerus Executive Director Cheryl Swanson says the arena side of the building alone was in use 23 out of 31 days in March - everything from monster trucks to basketball.
On the concert front Swanson says they continue to talk to promoters and anticipate at least a couple of shows later this year.
