Fargo, ND (ndsu sports info)--North Dakota State senior guard Taylor Braun has been named to the Associated Press men’s basketball All-America team as an honorable mention selection. Braun joins Ben Woodside (2009) as the only players in NDSU history to receive the honorable mention All-America distinction. Braun, The Summit League’s Player of the Year, averaged 17.6 points per game this season to lead the league in scoring, as well as averaging 5.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals. He scored in double figures 28 times, including four games of 30 or more points. Braun also posted single-game highs of 15 rebounds and 11 assists, and his 564 points scored this season were the eighth-most ever by an NDSU player. A Newberg, Ore., native, Braun was also an All-Summit League first team selection and an NABC All-District honoree. Braun concludes his NDSU career ranked among the school’s all-time top 10 in nine different statistical categories, including free throws made (4th), points (7th), steals (8th) and rebounds (9th).
