Fargo (KFGO AM) Construction to elminate one of Fargo's big spring flood emergency levee's starts Monday.
The Mickelson Field project, when finished, will take the place of a four block long clay dike along Oak Street on the city's north side. That dike is put up nearly every spring to protect a low lying area west of the sports complex.
The work includes relocation of utilities and removing some of the fencing now in place. The project should be completed by the fall of 2014.
